Kell Youth Cheer 2019 Season

We are looking forward to the 2019 cheer season! As directors, we strive to improve the program each year.

This year, you will notice several changes to our program...

Cheer practice will begin on Monday July 29th. We will practice Monday and Tuesday for the first week. The first week we will be practicing from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  The following week we will move to our regular cheer practice schedule of Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. We practice on the back field at Kell High School.

We utilize our registration system to sent communications regarding the season, events and updates.  Please be sure that you have provided an accurate email address that you check regularly.  Also it is recommended that you opt in to receive text messages from the program.  Text messages will only be sent in the event of a practice being cancelled, change of location or time for a practice or game.

Uniforms and pom poms are checked out by deposit and returned at the end of the season. Rather than keeping the uniforms, your cheerleader will be getting a camp wear (t-shirt and shorts), cheer shoes, team cheer bow, pink out bow and cheer briefs. Cheer uniforms will need to be returned, cleaned with a cleaner's receipt, in order to get your deposit check back in full. Deposits will be $150. A check is required for this deposit.

This year we are also collecting a $100.00 concessions deposit. If you do not work one of your assigned concession duties your check will be cashed, however if you do work your sessions the deposit will be returned to you at the end of the season


As we prepare for this season we wanted to share an opportunity to promote the Kell Football/Cheer Program, while covering some or all of your registration fees.  Below are some of the rules and benefits of approaching and gaining commitments for sponsors or media guide advertising:  
1.  Any money collected from a new Kell Sponsor or Media guide ad you will be credited 100% towards your childs' fees.  Any additional money over the participation fee goes to our sponsor income and is not applied to future years for fee payments.       
2.   However, if the sponsor renews for the following year and beyond, the parent you will receive 50% credit toward their participation fees for that year. Any additional money over the participation fee goes to our sponsor income and is not applied to future years for fee payments. 

Attached you will find a list of current Kell Sponsors.  Please DO NOT approach any of these sponsors.   

Should you know of or have identified a potential NEW SPONSOR get them to complete the paperwork at whatever level they would like.  If you need assistance, please let us know and we will have a member of the Kell Touchdown Club to help sign up that sponsor. 

 ***Show Your Longhorn Pride and let YOUR football player or cheerleader know HOW PROUD YOU ARE!! Include them by "SHOUTING IT" in the media guide.  Parents, Family, and Friends LET THEM KNOW YOU'RE WATCHING!

Corky Kell Classic

Kell Varsity Football will be playing Mays High School in the Corky Kell Classic on Saturday, August 24th at 9:00am.  The game will be played at the Mercedes Dome Arena.

We encourage our youth cheer and football players to come to show their Kell spirit and support the varsity team. Cheerleaders should wear their cheer uniform, shoes and team bow. All youth participants will get to go down on the field prior to the game.

Everyone attending the game will need a ticket (including your cheerleader/football player). Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased during cheer and football practice. 


The Kell Youth Cheer Program will be participating in a fundraiser for the Kell Youth Program as well as the Varsity Program.
  • Dominos Fundraiser - we will be requiring that all cheerleaders sell a minimum of 8 Domino cards this season.  The cards are $10 each and are BOGO (Buy One, Get One - any size, any type of pizza).  The cards are good all over our area and can be used as many times as you like.  We start the fundraiser on August 27th and will collect all money and forms on September 9th.  If you chose not to participate you will be expected to pay $50.
  • Hawiian Raffle - this fundraiser benefits the Varsity Football Program (which in turn benefits our youth program).  The tickets are $5 each.  The prize is two first class tickets on anywhere Delta flies from and a three night, four day stay in a luxury hotel.  We encourage all cheerleaders to sell a minimum of 10 raffle tickets.  Raffle tickets will be handed out at practice in September and the drawing will be in October at a Varsity home game.


Cobb Football League is a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of our community children. From the president of our league to each team mom, we are all volunteers. You can opt out of volunteering this season, by donating $100 to our league during the registration process. Your money will go towards our awesome Kell high school cheer trainers who lead our squads, as well as upkeep to the fields and equipment improvement. If you do not chose the opt out function during registration, we are asking that you volunteer a minimum of 2 hours during the season. We can always use your help! Here are some ways that you can help out...

  • Support the Team Mom on game day
  • Assist Team Mom/Cheer Trainer during practices
  • Offer assistance making game day banners
  • Assistance with uniform fittings and distribution
  • General support of Spirit Wear and Fundraising Activities
